Plant a Tree campaign launched in Amsterdam

The ING Plant a Tree event in ING House on 26 June was a huge success. Almost 300 employees filled out a questionnaire and received a tree in return. Many people indicated that they are interested in becoming an “environmental ambassador” to help raise awareness at ING on environmental care and ING’s initiatives in this area.

The ING Plant a Tree Campaign has been designed for employees to get involved in the preservation and promotion of a cleaner environment and making ING’s commitment to environmental care more tangible. It responds to the growing interest from ING employees around the world for issues related to climate change, biodiversity and deforestation.

The ING Plant a Tree Campaign is being rolled out in all ING countries, and business units are invited to start an ING Plant a Tree Campaign. A special toolkit can be obtained from the ING Group Corporate Responsibility & Sustainable Development team. It includes a guide on how to organize an internal event, the ING Plant a Tree logo, a sample flyer, tips on how to create an environmentally friendly office and a list of ING’s CR activities.
