Homework Buddies, volunteer 2 hours every week to educate India

Foundation has launched a long-term volunteering opportunity for employees to teach children living in difficult circumstances in partnership with the existing NGO partners from August 2009 onwards. This volunteer program is aimed at building relationships as often both our employees and the partner NGOs see their relationship in limited terms, or under the constraints of the particular program being funded.

This initiative had provided a platform for employees to interact with the children to help complete their homework with the support of one employee. Employees were requested to take charge of one week’s homework and pass the responsibility to another employee who had agreed to volunteer his/her time for the next week. This initiative is being conducted on every Friday and Saturday of the week. For More information.

Employee engagement campaign

This program is aimed at encouraging employees to become part of the Foundation’s activities. Employees are encouraged to be part of the team to plan out activities as well as to help implement the programmes by encouraging their colleagues to be part of it.

This is an annual event to involve and engage employees to learn about the foundation’s initiatives and raise funds for the promoting the mission of the Foundation – providing an enabling atmosphere in which the educational rights of children, living in difficult circumstances will be realized.

Apart from ING Chances for children, the raised funds will also be used for the local partner organizations to facilitate an enabling environment to provide education to children living in difficult circumstances.
