Creating a brighter future for underprivileged children

ING Vysya Foundation completed its third successful project with Lighting Lives, a programme held in association with its not-for-profit partner Sukrupa on 5th August. Lighting Lives, a candle making workshop conducted for all Bangalore based ING Vysya employees was conducted by volunteers from Sukrupa who demonstrated the art of candle making using paraffin wax and jelly wax. The event took place at ING Vysya House and received great support from many employees who participated in the event to learn a new skill and, more importantly, to create brighter futures for children less privileged than themselves. This event helped raise Rs 12,000 through the sale of candles and Rs 6,000 was collected through sale of tickets. The funds raised were used to purchase a water purifier for the Sukrupa school facility.
